Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Kolaria collects when you use kolaria.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Kolaria measures whether AI search engines name your brand, so most of what we store is the account you create and the domains and questions you ask us to track.

Who we are

Kolaria (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs the service at kolaria.com. If you have any question about this policy or your data, write to us at hello@kolaria.com.

What data we collect

• Account data: your name, email address, and the password or third-party sign-in (such as Google) you use to log in.
• Brand and tracking data: the domains, brand names, competitors, and questions you ask us to monitor across AI search engines.
• Billing data: your subscription plan and payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Usage data: how you move through the app, features you use, and actions you take, so we can fix problems and improve the product.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, and similar details your browser sends when it loads a page.
• Communications: anything you send us by email or support message.

How we use your data

• To run the service: create your account, track the questions and domains you set up, and show you the results.
• To bill you: manage your subscription, take payment, and send receipts.
• To support you: answer your messages and troubleshoot issues.
• To improve the product: understand which features help and where people get stuck.
• To keep the service safe: detect abuse, fraud, and security problems.
• To send service messages: account notices, billing alerts, and important product changes. Marketing email is opt-in and you can leave anytime.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and measure how the app is used. For product analytics we use PostHog, which records events such as page views and feature use so we can see what works. You can block cookies in your browser, though some parts of the app may stop working if you do.

Third parties we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run Kolaria, and only as much as each one needs:

• Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing.
• Resend: sending account and product email.
• Convex: our application database and backend.
• PostHog: product analytics and usage measurement.
• AI search providers: the engines we query on your behalf to check whether your brand is named.

Each of these providers runs under its own privacy terms. We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is open. When you close your account we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable time, except where we must keep some of it to meet legal, tax, or accounting rules.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or hand it over in a portable form. You can also object to some uses or ask us to limit them. To make any of these requests, email hello@kolaria.com. We will respond within the time the law allows.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute safety, but we work to keep the risk low.

Children

Kolaria is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and the law change. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top and, where it matters, tell you by email or in the app.
